WHO WE ARE
MozVolunteers is a small grass roots, ground level organisation. Founded in 2009, we started our first small commmunity project in Zavora, Mozambique. We strive to offer affordable volunteer holidays, maintaining a good balance between the volunteer work in Africa and giving you plenty time to enjoy all the activities and scenery that Africa has to offer. Since we started we have grown to what we are today with six different projects in two neighbouring countries: South Africa and Mozambique. Thanks to all our volunteers we have managed to set up a community school, provide a university scholarship for one of our local staff members, directly support a number of local families through sustainable development and educate and care for local under privileged children.
OUR EXPERIENCE
We have over ten years experience in the tourism industry, we know the countries we work in intimately, from their cultural heritage to historic background, their people, animals and the dificulties they face on a day-to-day basis. With our knowledge and experience you can have an unforgettable time in Africa whilst contributing to sustainable development. You will gain an understanding of the harsh reality of life in Africa and do your bit to say: "I lent a hand to Africa".
