HLUHLUWE/IMFOLOZI PARK
Join us on a big 5 safari in South Africa to one of the oldest game reserves in Africa: the Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Park. This park is world famous for its rhino conservation efforts and today has the highest concentration of rhino than any other park in Southern Africa. The lanscape and scenery is absolutely stunning with panoramic views over hills and rivers. All the big 5 are present within the park together with animals like cheetah, hyena, African wild dog, girraffe, zebra and so much more. Whilst volunteering with us this is your chance to have that dream African safari. The park is only a 45 minute drive away and safaris depart daily early morning.
NIGHT DRIVE GREATER ST LUCIA WETLAND PARK
Go out on a night drive within the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park to spot nocturnal animals you wouldn't normally see on a day safari. Its a completely different experience being out in the bush at night and you have the chance to spot some really strange creatures, like porcupine, aardvark, hippo, gennet cats, bushbabies, cameleons and if you are lucky enough, even a leopard. Also included in your safari is a stop for coffee and tea in the bush where you will be amazed by the brightness and density of the stars in the African sky. Also keep your ears open to listen to all the night sounds. Other animals often encountered include buffalo, rhino, hyeana and a veriety of antelope species.
BEACH AND BUSH SAFARI GREATER ST LUCIA WETLAND PARK
This safari gives you the best of both worlds: the beach and the bush. The Greater St Lucia Wetland Park was South Africa's first proclaimed world heritage site. The reason for this is because of its huge bio-diversity with 5 distinctly different eco-systems all inter-connected. Your safari will start at a reasonable hour in the morning, heading north through the park with plenty of game viewing along the way. There are a number of view points that you will stop at that offer exceptional views of the different eco-systems including lake St Lucia, the Indian Ocean, coastal dune forests and swamplands. Your final destination will be at a beautiful beach called Cape Vidal. With warm clear waters most year round and a rocky ledge just off-shore, it creates an excellent snorkeling and swimming area in the bay. After you've indulged in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean you will be treated to a lovely lunch in a picnic area. The drive back allows you more opportunities to spot any animals you may have missed in the morning. Just another perfect day.
