Deep Sea Fishing, South Africa and Mozambique

ST LUCIA, SOUTH AFRICA

The town of St Lucia began as a fishing village, so this is a great area to try out your fishing skills. It offers good fishing all year round. There are deep sea fishing trips that launch daily, weather pemitting. You first have the exhilerating experience of a surf launch, then out to sea to catch something nice for dinner. The early morning aspect to the trip focuses on game fishing, and targets species like Tuna, Barracuda and snoek. If you don't have any experience, that's OK, because your skipper will show you everything you need to know. After game fishing its off to a reef to do bottom fishing. All bait and equippment is supplied and you get to keep the fish you catch.

ZAVORA, MOZAMBIQUE

Zavora in Mozambique is also a well known fishing destination and offers excellent game fishing for most of the year. You will head out to sea with all bait and equippment provided and instructions from your skipper. On this fishing trip you also have the chance to spot other marine life including whales in season, whalesharks, dolphins and even manta rays launching out of the water. Don't forget to pack a hat and plenty of sunscreen and for those that get sea sickness there are tablets you can take. You also get to keep the fish you catch.
